Minute to Win It - Corporate Team Building Activity in Toronto

Marybeth here from Canadian Outback Adventures & Events with another corporate event update.

Last week we ran our Minute to Win It event for a healthcare company. This returning client had the event in their office space where they had a pizza lunch part of the event. This not only saved on cost for the client but also provided a comfortable and convenient venue for our flexible Minute to Win It event. Teams competed head to head in 12 seemingly simple minute challenges. Each team quickly became comfortable with their teammates and excelled when focusing on their communication and leadership skills. Participants not only learned something about themselves but became a cohesive unit with their co-workers while having a great time.

Whistler Corporate Castaways - Survivor Team Building in Fall

Hi this is Jill with another corporate event update.

It is a cold beautiful day up here in Whistler, BC, it’s October 29th and just completed a Corporate Castaways for a local automobile company that’s come up to Whistler for a whole bunch of meetings as well as some fun team building activities up in Whistler. We just had a really fantastic event with these guys. We were a little worried about running an end of October event up in Whistler but the weather hung out for us, it was cold and beautiful sunny day out. It was a very small group, only 18 people, we had just 2 teams and these guys brought the energy. With a small group, sometimes it’s hard to have that amped up energy and these guys proved that even with a small group, you can have that fiercely competitive and super engaged energy throughout the entire event. Probably the highlight was the team cheers, these guys really got creative with their cheers as well as adding some extra dance moves to it, which was fantastic and there was really good competitive, but good sportsmanship, throughout the event. So really fantastic to see and these guys really enjoyed themselves, the client was incredibly happy with the event and are already in talks to hopefully do an event with them again next year.

If you would like to plan a corporate event with us that is also fantastic and engaging, please contact my awesome sales team and they would be happy to help.

Philanthropic Corporate Team Building Activity At Its Finest in Toronto

Marybeth here from Canadian Outback Adventures & Events with another corporate event update.

Last week we ran our Apprentice event for a merchant service company at the unique Airship 37 venue in Toronto’s historic distillery district. Participants were split into 10 teams of 5 people and asked to build, enhance and customize a children’s bike by shopping at the apprentice store for tools and materials they needed. Teams were given an initial budget to spend at the store, but needed to complete tasks and collaborate with other teams in order to get the supplies they needed. Additionally, teams had to create an innovative advertising campaign to market and sell their bike. Some teams chose to do a skit while others highlighted the unique features of their bike. These presentations were done in front of the entire group, creating lots of laughs and great memories. Food and beverages were served throughout the event, making it relaxed, fun, and a social atmosphere. The top 3 teams were chosen by the Apprentice advisers, the winning team was chosen by popular vote and awarded Canadian Outback medals. Teams also created unique team name and the price went to the most creative name. Concluding the event, children from Big Brothers and Big Sisters of the Holstian Region and Native Child and Family Services of Toronto were welcomed into the event room to receive their brand new bicycles. The special guest and bike donation was a complete surprise for the participants. This was an amazing and touching end to a fun evening, especially seeing the children ride the bikes around with big smiles on their faces.

The Apprentice is a great team building event, but not only is it fun and interactive event to build your team, but is also a great way to give back to the community.

This pharmaceutical group contacted us to get ideas for a team building event for their small group of 10 female colleagues taking place in North Mississauga. After getting some information about the dynamics of the group, it was determined that Minute to Win It will suit their needs and meet their goals. During the event, all of them were fully engaged, paying full attention to the host’s instructions and performing the challenges accordingly. This made it for a very interactive and high energy event.

Gift Giving in Corporate Team Building in Toronto

Miguel here with another Canadian Outback corporate event update.

This banking company booked an Apprentice event for 700 of their employees, taking place at a hotel downtown Toronto. The group was divided and assigned different rooms throughout the hotel, but at the end, all of them gathered together at a large board ballroom. Where the winning teams had the opportunity to display and showcase their beautiful creations, what they didn’t know is that those items will be donated to the charity this financial institution supports. A few kids were present in the room to receive some of the gifts and the charity representative took the microphone to thank the participants and to let them know where those items will go and how these donations will change the lives and make a lot of children very happy.

If you have a large group and you would like to book with us, don’t hesitate to get in touch with us. Please check us out at canadianoutback.com, thank you!
