Team Pursuit - Corporate Team Building Activity in Ottawa

It’s Dolena here from Canadian Outback Adventures & Events with another corporate event update.

It was a beautiful fall day in Ottawa where we hosted the ultimate ice breaker game – Team Pursuit, with a local financial company. This group had 75 participants, ranging from new hires to executives. The goal for this event was to have some fun and have everyone interact with co-workers that they don’t normally see on a day to day basis. The Team Pursuit is played off of our Canadian Outback smartphone application. Everyone completed challenges that tested their mental, physical, and cerebral skills. With such a variety of challenges, everyone was able to contribute their own unique skills to bring their team to victory. We even included five custom challenges that were specific for this company. It was so much fun and everyone really enjoyed building a human table, re-enacting favourite scenes from  movies, practicing the Macarena, and so much more. Everyone broke out of their shells and laughed the whole way through. This group showed plenty of perseverance to accomplish as many challenges as possible. It was as super fun way to end off their full day of meetings.

Minute To Win It - Corporate Team Building Activity in King City

Hi everyone, this is Nick with Canadian Outback Adventures & Events with another corporate team building event update.

Today we are at a conference center in King City, where we hosted a group of over 50 strategic and highly competitive pharmaceutical professionals. Our Minute To Win It challenge was a great way to kick off their conference and break the ice on day one. Participants got to run through 12 different challenges that let everyone get involved and show their unique strengths. We got a chance to see everyone’s inner animal in “Elephant March”, their balancing capabilities with “Johnny Apple Stack”, and their muscle control in “Face the Cookie”, just to name a few of the wacky skills this event tests. All of our Minute To Win It games are exciting and dynamic, pulling out the inner child of each and every participant. Competition was stiff today, but it was definitely light hearted, fun and often times hilarious. You’ll never know what kind of secret skills and talents your co-workers are hiding.

Minute To Win It - Corporate Team Building Activity in Calgary

It’s Dolena from Canadian Outback Adventures & Events, here with another corporate event update.

Today we are in Calgary, Alberta, with a natural gas extraction business. Today’s group had 12 people participating for one of my favourite events – Minute To Win it. Although this group was small, they had the competitiveness and energy that made it seem like they were a much larger group. We split everyone to three teams to complete these 60-second challenges. Half of this group just joined the company, so this was an excellent way to have everyone break out of their shell and get to know each other outside of the work environment. Everyone hit it off pretty quick since they had to strategize and work together as a team to complete these challenges. Some of the group's favourite activities were “Elephant March”, “High Roller”, and “Face the Cookie”. But I must say, there were some serious strategizing and solid team work during “Zero Gravity” when teams had to keep their balloons in the air for 60 seconds. This group was so much fun to work with and this activity was a great start for their Thanksgiving long weekend.

Team Pursuit - Corporate Team Building Activity in Etobicoke

It’s Dolena here from Canadian Outback Adventures & Events here with another corporate event update.

Today we are in Etobicoke at a local real estate consultant firm with 60 leadership members. Today, this group has been split in to teams of five to take on Team Pursuit. This group had so much fun completing all of the video, photo and text challenges on our Canadian Outback app. What was particularly great about this event is that there was something for everyone. The mix of cerebral, physical and mental challenges allowed all team members to participate in a unique way. Some of the group’s favourite challenges were creating a unique team handshake and giving each other piggy back rides. There was a lot of smiles and laughs around the room for this two hour event. The participants came from site offices around the Etobicoke area, so this was a great way for everyone to get to know each other a bit better outside the office by completing challenges like finding someone grew up on a farm or who has taken music lessons. Overall, the group loved this activity and it gave them a fun break from all of their meetings.

Corporate Castaways - Corporate Team Building Activity in Toronto

Hi everyone, this is Nick with Canadian Outback Adventures & Events with another corporate event update.

Today we are at a golf and spa resort just outside of Toronto which gave us lots of wide open space for all the exciting Corporate Castaways challenges. It was a little bit chilly, but after a round of high energy team cheers, no one seemed to notice the brisk autumn air and competition was in full swing. This team of retirement community managers showed unprecedented enthusiasm as they rotated through eight different challenges, each designed to test different skill sets and bring the team together. We pushed our participants mentally at “Mind Bender”, physically at “Triage”, and gastronomically at “Tuckered Out”. This was my most intimidating menu yet, but inspite of individual fears, participants pushed through and toughed it out for their team. The sense of community amongst this group was contagious and everyone pitched in for a great afternoon of team work.
