Getting To Know You - Corporate Team Building Activity in Burlington

Hi everyone, this is Nick with Canadian Outback Adventures & Events with another corporate team building event update.

Today, we are at a hotel and conference center in Burlington, Ontario, where we hosted a smaller group of 14 professionals from the tech manufacturing industry. There were participants from all over the globe, several of whom had never met in person until today, and Getting To Know You was a great choice of activity to encourage everyone to learn a little bit more about one another. This activity is guided by the Canadian Outback app, which is a fantastic platform to have a variety of unique challenges immediately accessible at your fingertips. In this person to person scavenger hunt, participants got to enter submissions using photos, text, videos and even augmented reality, while they earn points and made some new connections with their colleagues. Even if you think you know someone well, the 90 different conversation starters in this activity are sure to help you find out something new.

Amazing Chase - Corporate Team Building Activity in Banff

This is Jordan with another corporate event update from Canadian Outback Adventures & Events.

Our latest event was an Amazing Chase, planned for a company from a Technology sector. This was the 3rd year in the row they competed in the Amazing Chase, so it was important to keep it fresh, and add some new custom creative challenges. We had the pleasure of hosting our Amazing Chase in the co-host city of the 2010 Winter Olympic Games – Whistler, British Columbia. Just like on the Amazing Race TV show, teams needed to successfully navigate road blocks, detours, and any challenges presented along the way. Teams earn points by completing challenges and submitting their answers through Canadian Outback’s smartphone app in the form of fun videos, photos, text and trivia responses. It was a huge success as teams arrive at the finish for a well deserved ice cold beverage. They shared stories, a few laughs, and of course, the winning team received their coveted gold medals.

Minute To Win It - Corporate Team Building Activity in Mississauga

Hi everyone, it’s Dolena here from Canadian Outback Adventures & Events, ready with another corporate update.

We are in Mississauga this evening with a large marketing company competing with one of my favorite events – Minute To Win It. They had a large group of 100 sales and marketing reps who have lots of energy and outstanding team spirit. This group was very competitive, which made the event so much more high energy and fun. I would say they were competitive to the point where they started playing very creatively to try and score more points. It was all in good fun and our Canadian Outback staff had a blast working with this group. Some of the crowd favorite challenges were “On the rebound” and “Suck It Up”. We finished the event with “Chip Flip” where one representative from each team had to stay in the round to earn more points by flipping poker chips from their elbow to their hand. This was a blast because it was do or die and head to head. Overall, this group loved the event and it was the perfect way to end the long day of meetings.

Team Pursuit - Corporate Team Building Activity in Banff

This is Kristen with another corporate event update.

Our latest event took us out to Banff National Park for a Team Pursuit. This event was for a destination management company out of Toronto. They were hosting an annual conference for over 400 people. This event only accommodated about 65 people and had teams utilizing technology on their smartphones to complete a series of challenges that tests skill, physical ability and mental capacity. Teams had a great time in their rooms doing the challenges, working together, and ultimately, winning their golden ticket to find out where their dinner was.
