A Mission to the Moon from Ontario

Hi! This is Alexis from Canadian Outback Adventures & Events with another corporate event update.

We were in Welland, Ontario, yesterday for a Mission to the Moon event with a sales team from a large international corporation. Mission to the Moon is a fantastic indoor event that has team members collaborating to build, decorate, promote and then launch a lunar module bottle rocket. This week’s clients were focused on improving employee morale by building camaraderie and improving office communication. The participants thoroughly enjoyed problem solving the source of the materials they needed to build and launch their rockets. Their presentations and artistic work on the rockets were outstanding examples of every team member’s engagement in the activity.

Team Building Mission: Successful! (Secret Agent 007 in Red Deer, Alberta)

Hi this is Jill with another corporate event update.

It is October 18^th and we are her in Red Deer, Alberta and we’ve just completed a Secret Agent 007 event for a local oil and gas company. These guys have done lots of events with us in the past and they are really excited to have another fun and successful event and 007 event was right up their alley for what they are looking for in terms of employee engagement for their afternoon’s activities. They really went out there with us, strong ahead in their shoulders, looking for all of their undercover informant locations. We were able to spread out a lot of the locations outside of the on property locations, so teams were going into the importants and trying to find our secret informants and going into the safe way to try and find evidence boxes, so they really enjoyed being able to get out on their feet for a little while and enjoy all the fresh air as well as having more public interactions with their undercover informants. They did a fantastic job, definitely the highlight was their final report which a lot of teams chose to present through music which was very entertaining as well as definitely keeping within the 007 theme playing songs from different movies and doing short skits and all of that good stuff. So, the client was incredibly happy with the event and the participants had a great time and looking forward to running another one with these guys in the future.

And if you would like to plan an awesome corporate event with us, please contact my sales team and they would be happy to help.

Helping The Community with The Art of Giving in Ottawa

Hi this is Alexis from Canadian Outback Adventures and Events for another corporate event update.

On Tuesday, we were in our nation’s capital for an Art of Giving event with a hundred and fifty staff at a broadcasting and entertainment company. This art of giving event requires teams to strategies and problem solve while completing team building challenges like helium sticks, trust walk and humdingers and team cheers to earn points. Once the teams earn their team building points, they exchange them for boxes of non perishable food building an earth supplies that they use to build their creative food sculpture connected to their company’s mission. This week’s participants perform skits, songs, dances and some even created video montages to show off their food sculptures. At the end of the event, the teams were thrilled to donate all of their food to nearby food banks.

For these events comment-The art of giving event is a great way to foster relationships with their colleagues while giving back to their local community.

Fantastic Minute to Win It Event in Greenville, Pennsylvania

Hi there! Shannon here with another event update from American Outback Adventures & Events.

Today we did a Minute to Win It in Greenville, Pennsylvania. We had a group of about 19 people gathered at a local wreck center after work. After some pizza and refreshments, teams were rip roaring and ready to go. It is a diverse group ranging from women in their 20’s to men in their 50’s. We even had one, 7 month pregnant, woman who was a real trooper. Teams made up some hilariously fantastic cheers and even counter cheered of during our cheer off. It was very impressive stuff. Just some of our fan favourite challenges that we ran were “Junk in the Trunk”, “Suck it up” and “Zero Gravity”. This group was up for anything and despite the hot and humid gymnasium we were in, they were constantly cheering each other on and ready for the next challenge. What a great group!

A Wild Goose Chase in Boston

Hello there! Shannon here with another event update from American Outback Adventures & Events.

Today we rocked another Wild Goose Chase in the beautiful city of Boston. I always love when we could add some local flavor to our events and Boston did not disappoint. We had a group of a roughly 45 people, some from the city, some not, participating today. A very competitive crowd, I barely finished introducing the event before they were half way out the door, their camera phones ready in hand. Along with some of our classic Wild Goose Chase challenges like fitting your entire team into a shopping cart and someone doing a handstand in a crowded elevator, we had some Boston specific challenges that nearly every team completed. My favorite part of the day was that every single team found a live lobster, picked it out of the tank and kissed it – priceless. Teams gathered at the Christopher Columbus Park where the event ended to share their enthusiasm and laugh with or at, each other’s photos before jumping on a duck boat for a classic tour of Boston, another successful event for American Outback Adventures & Events.
