Hey there everybody, it’s Michelle with American Outback
Adventures and Event with another corporate event update.
We have finished an Apprentice, Bike Build, event for an
insurance company in Houston at their office, and this was an activity designed
to provide a philanthropic feel while putting groups into teams that don’t work
in the same office and, in fact, not in the same city. They had an annual
general meeting and this was part of their fun evening time cocktails and
mingling activity. So we had everybody, after dinner, building bikes that were
then donated to the fire fighters’ toy drive for Christmas time. So we had 2
members of the Houston Fire Department come down, not only help out build the
bikes but also say a little bit about the charity itself, where these brand new
bikes were going. Everybody had a great time, it was really awesome to have
someone from the fire fighters’ toy drive there on site to speak a little bit
about the charity and get everybody a little bit more involved and understanding
where these bikes go. So, everyone was very greatful for that and had a great
time with the bikes. We had different sizes so that many different aged
children can enjoy these, every age from about 5 years of age, up until about
12, I would say. So we donated 9 bikes and everybody had a great time and were
very excited to be a part of this activity.
