Party in the Park Corporate Team Building Activity in Toronto

It’s Marie, your event coordinator from Canadian Outback Adventures & Event, tuning in from a bright and sunny Party in the Park today.

Boy was it hot on this toasty summer day as teams went head to head in their own customized Castaway theme challenges. They battled it out against each other to put their teamwork skills to the test, especially in the always competitive “Blind Leading the Blind” and centipede ski challenges.

Party in the Park Corporate Team Building Activity in Calgary

Hey, this is Esther with another corporate team building event update.

We had a great day today here in Calgary as we hosted a Party in the Park at Edworthy Park for a large group of employees and their families from an oilfield service company. Delicious barbecue is provided by Holy Smoke catering and Canadian Outback provided a variety of fantastic lawn games including classics like croquette and bocce, kid family setups of giant snakes and ladders, connect 4, and team favourites such as soccer and softball. Though this was a casual affair, our client also requested that their enthusiastic employees could rent the mini version of our always engaging – Corporate Castaways. We had 8 teams moving through the course of 4 challenges. A special shout out now goes to the team purple who came up with a very creative pig roast carrying technique used to rescue their team members in our challenge – Triage. Team purple and beige had to participate in a final tie-breaker challenge of tug-of-war, and because beige was able to recruit a few more supporters to help them out, they went home the Corporate Castaway winners. A perfect way to head into a weekend. There were no dampen spirits though as the party wrapped up and the clouds and rain rolled in on another wonderful Party in the Park.

Party in the Park Corporate Team Building Activity in Calgary

This is Kristen with another corporate event update.

Our latest Alberta event took us to the downtown Calgary park – Sien Lok. This park was a perfect location for our Party in the Park. Participants walked down from their downtown office for an afternoon barbecue and fun in the sun. Although the weather wasn’t quite cooperating, the afternoon started out with a great barbecue, followed up with some classic picnic games. Everyone enjoyed the giant Jenga, croquette, Horse shoes, and twister. But the main event definitely was the sumo wrestling tournament. We ordered some great sumo suites and people had a ton of fun, laughing and partying, watching their co-workers duel it out in the ring. There was some great prizes and at the end of the day, competition was high and there was only one winner. Participants also enjoyed the snow cone machine. Definitely, they were being brought back to their youth, walking with blue and red tongues.

Party in the Park Corporate Team Building Activity in Vancouver

Hi this is Jill with another corporate event update.

It is Sunday, July 27th and we’re here in beautiful Vancouver and we have just completed a company picnic – Party in thePark event for a local financial company. This was our second year doing this event with the group and we come in and just do the Party in the Park games with them. They have a communal barbecue that they all organized and arranged themselves, so we just get to come in and play a whole bunch of fun different games with this group. We added a couple of extra components to the standard Party in the Park event. We had some survivor games, Kids obstacle course challenges and some traditional Party in the Park games like egg toss races, tug of war and potato sack races. Definitely the highlight for this group was the survivor. We got a good group of people to come out and get out, do some survivor challenges and they loved it. We had a couple of different challenges from what we did last year and they really enjoyed the diversity of the different options we could provide them and the competitive spirit of getting that little survivor taste into their event, which was fantastic. This group has a really great sense of community within all of the activities they do. They are really close knit family so it was really great to see them being able to get out of the office, sit back and relax, and enjoy a day’s worth of festivities. Client was incredibly happy with the event, we were already talking about planning our event for next year.

Party in the Park Corporate Team Building Activity in Toronto

This is Kristen with another corporate event update.

Our latest event took the Calgary team up to Toronto, Ontario, for our Party in the Park. This company was celebrating their employees and decided to have a great party outside in the sunshine. The event started out with the barbecue catered by a local Toronto barbecue company. They finished off the lunch with some ice cream. Next stop, we had a structured Corporate Castaways event where about 60 people participated in the challenge. After the winner was determined, it was fun and games for the rest of the afternoon. We had volleyball, touch football, bocce, croquette, and the big crowd favourite – giant jenga.

Building Teams is just a Party in the Park

Hi there, Shannon here with American Outback Adventures & Events with another corporate event update.
We just had a Party in the Park in Boston, Massachusetts. A Party in the Park is just what it sounds like, we help coordinate your corporate get together leading up to the event and the day of, we’re there to help people get off their feet and having some fun. This Party in the Park was for a returning client who had the same event with us in 2012. Last year, they held the event on one of the islands just off shore Boston. But this year, they wanted to stay in the mainland. We held the event in the outdoor space of the Commonwealth Museum in Boston, and it was a beautiful venue and the perfect size for 100 guests.

For last year’s event the caterer that we used brought some additional games with them like Can Jam, Corn Hole and Ladder Ball. The client asked if it were possible for us to provide those games this year since we are using a different caterer, and we made it so. Guests at this Party in the Park spent a fun afternoon playing Can Jam, Volleyball, Ladder Ball, Bocci, Giant Jenga, and many more. Guests also formed teams of 4 to play some American Outback custom games that we brought with us that rely on trust, memory and the ability to shed your shame momentarily.
Kids and adults alike played away the afternoon and enjoyed some quality catering from a local company. They challenged each other into competitions and especially the Sumo suits that we rented. Overall, a fun afternoon in the sun here in Boston, this Party in the Park was a great success and we here at American Outback Adventures & Events hope to see this client again next year.
