It’s Dolena here from Canadian Outback Adventures &
Events with another corporate event update.
Today we were at the beautiful venue of the Old Mill Inn in
Etobicoke, Toronto. This event day was extra special because we ran 2 events
for the corporate services department of a local college. 50 participants
joined forces to solve a mystery with our Crime
Investigators event and also built bikes for deserving children with the Apprentice.
During this group’s annual meeting we mixed everyone up into teams and have
them search for crime scenes and collect evidence. Everyone was so detail
oriented to try and solve this crime. They collected all kinds of things from
each scene, and some even picked up some garbage, thinking it might have been
useful. It was a great time and everyone demonstrated excellent team work and
collaboration. After lunch at the inn, we broke everyone into different teams
to build, decorate and pitch children’s bikes. Everyone loved this activity,
especially because of the charitable aspect. All 10 bikes were donated to the
children’s breakfast club. A great highlight from the day was watching them
pitch with the Avenger bike. A gentleman, who seems to be more on the quite
side all day, came out of nowhere and sang the Captain America song on the top
of his lungs. It was a great moment for the whole group.
