Amazing Chase - Corporate Team Building Activity in Toronto

Hello again, this is Jason Riechart with another corporate event update from Canadian Outback Adventures & Events.

We just finished an Amazing Chase here on Toronto Ontario with a diverse media company. Some participants were even visiting from United States, which allowed for colleagues to interact and strengthen relationships with individuals whom they would not normally interact with. Right from the start, teams were extremely competitive, racing out of the building to complete their first challenge. Little did they know, the first challenge needed to be completed in the very spot that they were running from. This challenge was the first of many road block, route info and detour challenges that the teams needed to complete in various locations across Toronto. One particular challenge was so engaging, that a stranger actually joined one of the teams with no encouragement, whatsoever, and another tried to offer a different team money for their performance. The event came to a close at a small, friendly bar in Kensington market – the perfect spot for teams to rest and relax after a hard fought race.

Amazing Chase - Corporate Team Building Activity in Banff

Hello, Miguel here with another corporate event update.

Banff was the backdrop for this amazing race type of activity that had teams travelling up and down town. Not only discovering some of the local attractions but also interacting with the public and deciphering some of the clues. It was a nice, crisp and clear day in Banff, perfect for an activity like this. Teams have to use their negotiating skills to try to get ahead of the game, but there can only be one winner, and that winning team was the one that finished the quickest but also the most accurate.

Amazing Chase - Corporate Team Building Activity in Quebec City

Hi everyone, this is Nick again, reporting on another great afternoon of corporate team building.

Today we are in Charming, Quebec City, where our group of insurance and benefits professionals took part in the Amazing Chase. This app based activity led participants through old Quebec, going from challenge to challenge where they saw the sites, explore their environment and put their best efforts forward while working as a team. There’s something for everyone in the chase, whether your strengths are physical, artistic or mental, and this customized course had offerings that are a little bit tastier in nature. Keeping with the spirit of Quebec, and the local cuisine, we had team stop in out of maple museum for a blind taste challenge, a sugar pie shop for authentic French deserts, and an old stone cellar bistro where they tested their pallets on some fine French wine and cheeses. This physical, competitive and interactive event can be different every time as it combines the needs of the group with local and cultural offerings.

Amazing Chase - Corporate Team Building Activity in Banff

This is Jordan with another corporate event update from Canadian Outback Adventures & Events.

Our latest event was an Amazing Chase, planned for a company from a Technology sector. This was the 3^rd year in the row they competed in the Amazing Chase, so it was important to keep it fresh, and add some new custom creative challenges. We had the pleasure of hosting our Amazing Chase in the co-host city of the 2010 Winter Olympic Games – Whistler, British Columbia. Just like on the Amazing Race TV show, teams needed to successfully navigate road blocks, detours, and any challenges presented along the way. Teams earn points by completing challenges and submitting their answers through Canadian Outback’s smartphone app in the form of fun videos, photos, text and trivia responses. It was a huge success as teams arrive at the finish for a well deserved ice cold beverage. They shared stories, a few laughs, and of course, the winning team received their coveted gold medals.

Amazing Chase - Corporate Team Building Activity in Toronto

It’s Dolena here from Canadian Outback Adventures & Events with another corporate event update.

We worked with an event planning company who put on an amazing conference program for two national partner pharmaceutical companies. To spice up the program, Canadian Outback was called in to run a customized Amazing Chase for the group in downtown Toronto. This group was launching a new pharmaceutical drug and had a conference theme focused around the fictional character named “Jane”. In this Amazing Chase, the group had the opportunity to follow Jane’s journey around the city as they located the route markers, completed roadblocks and detours. All of these challenges included Jane’s narrative and the teams had a blast following the story. Some of the team’s favourite challenges were performing the New Zealand native dance, the Haka, where teams put on their Maori face and proudly stomped and danced their way to success. And the route marker “Fish Face” where the teams had to find a fish of any kind and take a team photo making fish faces. You could tell everyone stepped out of their comfort zones and had a blast getting to know their colleagues. Overall, this group loved getting outside, exploring the city and having a fun break from their workshops.

The picturesque town of Canmore, Alberta, located in the heart of the Canadian Rockies, played host to the greatest race this company has ever been a part of. At just 26 kilometers from Banff, and on the cusp of Kananaskis country, it's at the crossroads of some of the most magnificent scenery you’ll ever see. Teams race at the heart of Canmore, completing challenges and soaking in the epic beauty at every turn. Just like on the Amazing Race TV show, teams needed to successfully navigate road blocks, detours and any challenges presented along the way. Teams earn points by completing challenges and submitting their answers through Canadian Outback smartphone app in the form of fun videos, photos, text and trivia responses. Today was a success as teams arrived at the finish for well deserved ice cold beverage. They shared stories, a few laughs, and of course, the winning team received their coveted gold medals for their performance today.

Our latest event was an Amazing Chase, planned for a group of Ottawa lawyers. Our nation’s capital played host to the greatest race this company has ever been a part of. Ottawa’s blessed with abundance of attractions and assorted landmarks that heightened the experience for this racers. From the iconic part of the buildings to the Rideau canal, all stops were located within the downtown core, and allowed the racers to soak in Ottawa’s natural beauty. Just like on the Amazing Race TV show, teams needed to successfully navigate roadblocks, detours and any challenges presented along the way.  Teams earn points by completing challenges and submitting their answers through the Canadian Outback smartphone app in the form of fun videos, photos, text and trivia responses.
