Crime Investigators - Corporate Team Building Activity in Mississauga

Hi everyone, this is Nick again with Canadian Outback Adventures & Events with another corporate event update.

Today we are in Mississauga with a team of tech solutions experts who needed a meaningful office escape that was dynamic and fun, but still challenged them to put their heads together. Crime Investigators was the event of choice and it proved to be the perfect match for a team of logical and highly analytical thinkers. When they arrived, they were split into special investigation units and briefed on a mysterious crime that was committed in the hotel. As a group, they had to visit multiple crime scenes, document evidence, search for clues and rendezvous with an informant who had valuable information. As the day went on, our investigators worked as a team to piece together what happened and ultimately solve the crime. Once each group thought they had their culprit, they had to present a media briefing, outlining their version of events. Sounds easy? You might be surprised.

Crime Investigators - Corporate Team Building Activity in Woodbridge

It’s Dolena from Canadian Outback Adventures and Event with another corporate event update.

Today we traveled to Woodbridge to the head office of a tire company to run the Crime Investigator event. 14 executives participated after a full morning of meetings. It was funny for them to see their office space transform into in area filled with crime scenes. They really enjoyed running around as investigation experts. This group was incredibly fun to work with and had super high energy. They were very detail oriented and investigated every inch of each crime scene. They were also very competitive, to the point where they were playfully trying to throw the other teams off by setting up suspicious items at each crime scene. They had a great sense of humor. It gave everyone a good laugh and they all demonstrated great team work and excellent collaboration. This event was a great way to change up a regular work day at the office and incorporate team bonding before the New Year.

The Apprentice - Corporate Team Building Activity in Toronto

Hello, it’s Dolena from Canadian Outback Adventures & Events with another corporate event update.

Today we are downtown Toronto working with a national banking company on The Apprentice. We had a rather small group today, 7 people, who are VPs of different departments. Although it was small, we were not lacking in fun and creativity. One of the goals for this event was to practice collaboration while working together. I have to say, this was definitely achieved today. Both teams did an excellent job of sharing ideas and coming up with the ultimate children’s bike. One team created a technology pony bike while the other had a Minnie and Mickey Mouse bike. The decorations were well thought out and unique, but it was the pictures in the end that really made the scores close. Everyone worked together and participated in a way that suited their skills. What also motivated these teams to do a good job was that these bikes were being donated to a local mother shelter. All around, there were good vibes and positive teamwork.

Crime Investigators - Corporate Team Building Activity in Toronto

Hello, it’s Dolena from Canadian Outback Adventures & Events with another corporate event update.

Today we are in North York, Ontario, at the Black Creek Pioneer village where a local tech company has to solve a crime with our CrimeInvestigators event. This group of 25 proved to be very analytical. They examined each crime scene very carefully and collected all kinds of evidence. Some of which had nothing to do with the case, but this group showed you could never be too detail oriented. We received gum, scrap paper, basically, anything in their reach, showed up in our forensics lab. This group demonstrated major focus in the last bit of the activity where they calculated their findings and put together their final report. I think we may have found a great fall back career for some of the participants. By the end of the event, everyone was laughing and enjoyed the final presentations. Overall, this group had a great time and loved finishing their work day off with a unique team building event.

Minute To Win It - Corporate Team Building Acitivty in Toronto

Hi everyone, this is Nick again with Canadian Outback Adventures & Events with another corporate team building event update.

Today we are at a hotel and conference center in Toronto where we hosted a group of 80 finance professionals. This was the group’s first international summit and we got to meet participants from Australia, New Zealand, the UK, the United States and from all across Canada. Our Minute ToWin It event was perfect for bringing everyone together and pumping energy into the group before their evening dinner and awards. Teams got to run through 12different games that were equal mix of challenging and silly – Elephant March, That Blows, Face The Cookie, Stack Attack, all the classics were there and players got to see how well they fair in games that are much more difficult than they look. Competition was stiff and as it often does, everything came down to the final nail-biting rounds to decide which team would walk away with the title.

The Apprentice - Corporate Team Building Activity in Etobicoke

It’s Dolena here from Canadian Outback Adventures & Events with another corporate event update.

Today we were at the beautiful venue of the Old Mill Inn in Etobicoke, Toronto. This event day was extra special because we ran 2 events for the corporate services department of a local college. 50 participants joined forces to solve a mystery with our Crime Investigators event and also built bikes for deserving children with the Apprentice. During this group’s annual meeting we mixed everyone up into teams and have them search for crime scenes and collect evidence. Everyone was so detail oriented to try and solve this crime. They collected all kinds of things from each scene, and some even picked up some garbage, thinking it might have been useful. It was a great time and everyone demonstrated excellent team work and collaboration. After lunch at the inn, we broke everyone into different teams to build, decorate and pitch children’s bikes. Everyone loved this activity, especially because of the charitable aspect. All 10 bikes were donated to the children’s breakfast club. A great highlight from the day was watching them pitch with the Avenger bike. A gentleman, who seems to be more on the quite side all day, came out of nowhere and sang the Captain America song on the top of his lungs. It was a great moment for the whole group.
