Crime Investigators - Corporate Team Building Activity in Toronto

Hello, it’s Dolena from Canadian Outback Adventures & Events here with another corporate event update.

Today we are in the heart of downtown Toronto, working with an investment company for our exciting Crime Investigators event. This group of 20 really enjoyed it, because it allowed them to work with people in their team that they don’t necessarily always get the chance to work with on a day to day basis. You could clearly see the enthusiasm in this group as they created the fun team names, like “Inspector Gadget” team, and “Detective Murdock” team. We setup some very fun crime scene locations for this event, one was at the top level of a parking garage, we had one at a park, out at Tim Horton’s, and the group loved the variety and is excited to get out and walk around after a morning of meetings. This group was very detail oriented while searching the scenes as we had several funny items show up at our forensics lab in the end. There were paper clips, grass, umbrellas, and even a first aid kit and a cowboy hat were found. The presentations at the end proved this group was very creative and showed that everyone demonstrated excellent team work and collaboration.

Crime Investigators - Corporate Team Building Activity in Mississauga

Hello, it’s Dolena from Canadian Outback Adventures & Events with another corporate event update.

Today we are in Mississauga with a local roofing materials company participating in the Crime Investigators event. This group of 25 was so much fun to work with, I’ve never seen a group get so involved and really capture their roles as agents in this Crime Investigations before. They asked all of our officers on site, so many questions, they were very detail oriented and picking up all of the evidence. We found some pretty funny materials at the end that were handed in to our forensics lab like some hair, some rocks, some pine needles, all kinds of different things. Everyone really appreciated the detail we put in to this event and had so much fun bonding with their team members at their conference.

Crime Investigators - Corporate Team Building Activity in Mississauga

Hi everyone, this is Nick again with Canadian Outback Adventures & Events with another corporate event update.

Today we are in Mississauga with a team of tech solutions experts who needed a meaningful office escape that was dynamic and fun, but still challenged them to put their heads together. Crime Investigators was the event of choice and it proved to be the perfect match for a team of logical and highly analytical thinkers. When they arrived, they were split into special investigation units and briefed on a mysterious crime that was committed in the hotel. As a group, they had to visit multiple crime scenes, document evidence, search for clues and rendezvous with an informant who had valuable information. As the day went on, our investigators worked as a team to piece together what happened and ultimately solve the crime. Once each group thought they had their culprit, they had to present a media briefing, outlining their version of events. Sounds easy? You might be surprised.

Crime Investigators - Corporate Team Building Activity in Woodbridge

It’s Dolena from Canadian Outback Adventures and Event with another corporate event update.

Today we traveled to Woodbridge to the head office of a tire company to run the Crime Investigator event. 14 executives participated after a full morning of meetings. It was funny for them to see their office space transform into in area filled with crime scenes. They really enjoyed running around as investigation experts. This group was incredibly fun to work with and had super high energy. They were very detail oriented and investigated every inch of each crime scene. They were also very competitive, to the point where they were playfully trying to throw the other teams off by setting up suspicious items at each crime scene. They had a great sense of humor. It gave everyone a good laugh and they all demonstrated great team work and excellent collaboration. This event was a great way to change up a regular work day at the office and incorporate team bonding before the New Year.

Crime Investigators - Corporate Team Building Activity in Toronto

Hello, it’s Dolena from Canadian Outback Adventures & Events with another corporate event update.

Today we are in North York, Ontario, at the Black Creek Pioneer village where a local tech company has to solve a crime with our CrimeInvestigators event. This group of 25 proved to be very analytical. They examined each crime scene very carefully and collected all kinds of evidence. Some of which had nothing to do with the case, but this group showed you could never be too detail oriented. We received gum, scrap paper, basically, anything in their reach, showed up in our forensics lab. This group demonstrated major focus in the last bit of the activity where they calculated their findings and put together their final report. I think we may have found a great fall back career for some of the participants. By the end of the event, everyone was laughing and enjoyed the final presentations. Overall, this group had a great time and loved finishing their work day off with a unique team building event.

Crime Investigators - Corporate Team Building Activity in Ontario

It’s Dolena from Canadian Outback Adventures & Events with another corporate event update.

Today was a beautiful fall day at the Millcroft Inn, just outside of Caledon,Ontario, where our group of 30 from a pharmaceutical company was split into special groups so they could piece together clues and solve the crime for the Crime Investigators event. This analytical and very competitive group enjoyed visiting the crime scenes that were outdoors since they’ve been sitting inside for the past 2 days during their company meeting. They collected evidence, navigated to different crime scenes and sketched out those crime scenes to solve this crime. We could tell the group really got into this event because all of a sudden the CSI lingo came out in everyone, as they inspected the murder weapons, took samples and analyzed the scenes. One of the highlights from this event was watching the media briefings at the end from our top 3 teams. One of them made an awesome rap describing the suspects and it was just a riot. This group really demonstrated great communication skills, creativity and solid teamwork. Each team member had something they could contribute towards their group’s success.

Code Break - Corporate Team Building Activity in Whistler

Hi! This is Jules with another corporate event update from Canadian Outback Adventures & Events.

Today we were in the breath taking resort town of Whistler, BC, working with a national law firm here for a multi-day conference and retreat. Today’s event was broken up into 4 different activities for this large group, with this particular group of 30 participating in a custom 60-minute Code Break activity. Using the Canadian Outback smartphone app, this group completed up to 80 various riddles, puzzles and brain teasers. The group focus for the day of meetings was “Accountability”, so that thing was incorporated into the team structure, as each team had to designate someone to be accountable for the work of the entire team. This definitely proved to be successful for all. Several of the teams divided up challenges in order to work against the clock and get as many completed as possible. One team completed the least amount of challenges out of all the teams, but they had chosen all the high scoring challenges, therefore placing them in the close second to the winning team. There was lots of discussion afterwards to see who completed what riddles and puzzles, and of course, what the right answers were.

Crime Investigators - Corporate Team Building Acitivity in Calgary

This is Reid here with another corporate event update.

Our latest event took us to the International Hotel in downtown Calgary, Alberta. The client was a local engineering firm who were taking a day of work to celebrate their profitable year. The event was Crime Investigators and participants were given a series of clues and had to visit crime scenes with the hotel, collect evidence, document the scene and eventually attempt to solve a crime that had been committed. Teams were very engaged, quite competitive and had a fun time piecing together the mystery. At the end of the event, each team had the opportunity to present a media briefing and all teams had a uniquely creative and detailed approach to piece together the crime.
