The Apprentice Corporate Team Building Activity in Ottawa

Hi there! Shannon here with another corporate event update from Canadian Outback Adventures & Events.

Today we had an Apprentice in Ottawa, Canada. This event was one in a series of 3 Apprentices. The client decided to run the same event for their Mississauga, Montreal and Ottawa offices, all within 1 week of each other. The Ottawa Apprentice was the smallest of the three with about 25 people participating. The event took place inside their office, or more specifically, their training center. It was a quiet start, but like they always do, participants’ competitive streaks came out full flourish and soon the room was filled with ideas, laughs, and creativity. At the conclusion of this morning, a few participants stated that it was great to know that they were taking time out of their work day to do something to help kids who really needed it. The Boys & Girls Club of Ottawa took inspiration from our donation and is now planning a “Bike the Canal Day” with their kids. Overall it was a great morning at the capitol.

The Apprentice Corporate Team Building Activity in Montreal

Hi there! Shannon here with another corporate event update from Canadian Outback Adventures & Events.

Today we had an Apprentice in Montreal, Quebec. This event was one in a series of 3 Apprentices. The client decided to run the same event for their Toronto, Montreal and Ottawa offices, all within 1 week of each other. The Montreal Apprentice was the medium size of the group with about 55 people participating. To accommodate the French speaking participants, teams were given the “OK” to present in either English or French, whatever they are most comfortable with. “Enthusiasm knows no language” I say. The marketing presentations had singing, grown men riding bicycles and even some very charitable donations. Overall it was a great morning here in Montreal.

Minute to Win It Corporate Team Building Activity in Edmonton

This is Kirsten with a corporate event update.

It’s the beginning of December and the weather is cold. So we kept it inside for our latest event in Edmonton, Alberta, with a Minute toWin It challenge. This small group of about 35 oil field representatives had a great time at their conference at the River Cree Resort and Casino. We kicked off their second evening with a Minute to Win It event. Teams had a lot of fun competing, laughing, and getting creative competing in the challenges. We finished off the event with the “How’s It Hanging” challenge. Everyone had lots of laughs and enjoyed being silly with their co-workers.

Secret Agent 007 Corporate Team Building Activity in Edmonton

Hi this is Jill with another corporate event update.

It’s November 28th and we’re here in Edmonton, Alberta, and we’ve just completed a Secret Agent 007 event for a client’s Christmas party. This was an entertainment style of our event, which is a lot more casual, but still very fun and dynamic for all of the participants. The group was intending to have this as their final activity before their evening ended, so it suited perfectly with the timeline before the evening. Our client was really excited to get her colleagues and co-workers doing something a little bit different while still having fun and getting engaged with a fun activity. This event really helped them get outside of their comfort zone and do something a little bit different and goofy with their group of co-workers that don’t always work together in the same work environment. The highlight was definitely the interactions with the undercover agents in this event. With such a small venue, we were able to really keep them undercover and to have the participants second guessing who they’re interacting with on a regular basis, which made for more authentic event. The client was extremely happy with how everything turned out and is looking forward to hopefully doing some full team building events with us in the New Year.

If you want to plan another fantastic event with us, just like these guys did, please contact my awesome sales team and they would be happy to help.

The Apprentice Corporate Team Building Activity in Montreal

Hey it’s Marie from Outback with another corporate event update.

The end of November and we’re in Montreal today for an Apprentice Bike Build event. This group is in the technology sector and they were focusing on the transition in their company as they say farewell to their Chief Executive Officer. The 6 teams wanted to really focus on collaborating as teams and as a group together to achieve their goals and objectives and build the bikes and decorate them and create advertising campaigns. These ad campaigns were really innovative and we saw everything from Rapunzel to Terrific Crossroad Tumblers from teenagers and some of the best super heroes as well. In the end, the bicycles were donated to a charity representative from a local charity and it really added to the Philanthropic feel of the event as a whole and added to their hard work and efforts that they put forth to building their bikes.

Wild Goose Chase Corporate Team Building Actvity in Edmonton and Calgary

This is Kristin with another corporate event update.

Our latest event, the Wild Goose Chase for a government organization was a multi city event. We had a team in Calgary and a team in Edmonton competing against one another. It was really great to see two different cities competing together with the same challenges and the same event. We have lots of laughs watching the photos come in with the teams all different types of challenges around Calgary and Edmonton area. Even though there were lots going on in the Edmonton location, the teams definitely brought the competitive edge to the table and took it home for the win.

Secret Agent 007 Corporate Team Building Activity in Verdun

It’s Marie from Canadian Outback Adventures & Events with another corporate event update.

Today we held a Secret Agent 007 on an island. Teams set off into the field to encounter undercover and armed agents in secret locations to collect their classified clues and evidence. After a very competitive march back to the headquarters, teams uncovered and revealed their own case and presented their findings in a final document as to where Doctor Black is planning on relocating his secret headquarters. We discussed what team building meant to them and what strategies, although sometimes cunning and competitive, they used out in the field. Over all everyone we had a super fun time. We’re really a lively bunch and enjoyed taking part to what it took to be a secret agent in disguise.

Minute to Win It Corporate Team Building Activity in Toronto

It’s Marie from Canadian Outback Adventures & Events with another corporate event update.

Just wrapping up another Minute to Win Itevent today with a team of Pharmaceutical workers. We had a great bunch of ladies who’ve had quite a long week of meetings and over 6 months of serious structural change in their business. This was a great way for them to really let loose and have fun but also work as a team together instead of just individuals and at the end, they had a fantastic time and left knowing that they’re closer together working as a team.

Crime Investigators Corporate Team Building Activity in Toronto

Hi, this is Jill with another corporate event update.

It is October 2nd and were here in Ontario place, which is an abandoned fair grounds in downtown Toronto. Really awesome venue for a Crime Investigators event for one of the partners of Ontario Place who were having some meetings on site. The client was really excited to be able to do a fun team building activity with their group in the afternoon after a morning’s worth of meetings around the venue in different places they wanted to go visit on sites. Their favourite part of the event was definitely the atmosphere and different locations we had setup for them. They really loved all the elaborate crime scenes we were able to setup as this was a private venue space where we had the free range of all the different areas. As well, because this was a decrepit looking, old fair grounds, there were lots of creepy things falling apart that they really enjoyed. The teams got really into having to get creative at the end of their activity to present their final reports and really enjoyed hearing everyone’s creative outlook on how they think the crime went down. The client was incredibly happy with the event and looking forward to hopefully do an event with them again soon.

This is Marie, your event coordinator from Outback, back with another corporate event update.

We just held a scrumptious Iron Chef Barbecue challenge, where 7 teams went head to head in our kitchen academy to see who’s kitchen cuisine reign’s supreme. Our very sophisticated and competitive group of lawyers worked together as a team to skilfully create delectable dishes with limited resources available, using the mystery ingredient – Pineapple. Each of the beverage, appetizer, entrée and dessert dishes had to include this item and be presented to the esteemed judges for their deliberation. It was a tough ruling, but at the end of the challenge, only one team won the Iron Chef Barbecue Challenge winner.

Corporate Castaways Corporate Team Building Activity in Toronto

Hey it’s Marie from Canadian Outback Adventures & Events with another corporate event update.

We had a really awesome Corporate Castaways today on the downtown park with a local basketball team. It was really great to see the management team lead their team through blind leading the blind in under 2 and a half minutes. Quite the honourable mention there and very high spirits, very competitive attitudes, and weren’t afraid to push and shove when it came to winning. Their cheers in the end got them only so far as it was the Golden Fingers who rose to the top and took the gold home.

Amazing Chase Corporate Team Building Activity in Edmonton

Good morning! This is event coordinator Esther with another Canadian Outback Adventures & Events update.

Recently I was up in Edmonton running an Amazing Chase for a small group of accounting and advisory professionals. Starting in the Northwest - downtown core, teams raced along a 5 kilometre course, competing in a variety of challenges, including 6 degrees of separation, an art challenge and a cowboy themed shoot-em up before getting a rest from their feet as their mystery vehicle whisked them across town to other Edmonton’s famous attractions where there were some more interactive challenges awaiting for them. They built up their thirst for the final stop, which was great, because I was there with a refreshing beer taste test challenge for them. There were some fantastic surprises provided by the client, including our coveted COAE medals, gift certificates, golf bags, and the winning team won 500 dollars to give to a charity of their choice. They all ended with a barbecue and drinks, sharing stories, this will definitely be a memorable day for this group.

Amazing Chase Corporate Team Building Activity in Toronto

This is Marie, your event coordinator from Canadian Outback Adventures & Event.

We just hosted the Amazing Chase with a local corporate hotel chain in downtown Toronto. The sun was shining, energy was high and teams were competitive to race to the finish line. We had the exciting opportunity to tie-in the company’s greener environment initiatives in an activity where teams could collect and dispose off liter or dance the jitter. One highlight was another team’s ability to get over 15 participants in their team pyramid photo. The teams finished off with the beer market with some much needed refreshments, awesome prizes and some great photos.

Corporate Castaways Corporate Team Building Activity in Edmonton

This is event coordinator Esther from Alberta, I have another corporate event update.

From Randall family park in Edmonton this week we had a very enthusiastic group of approximately 130 accounting tax and consulting professionals who brought their A-games to each of our standard CorporateCastaways challenges, including getting very creative with their custom flag and face painting. Honorable mention for that station goes to the creativeness of teams “Account-10s”, “Team 16’s daddy”, and “Donald Ducks”. The “Blind leading the Blind” challenge continues to pose to be one of our more difficult challenges for this group. It requires teams blindfolded to complete an obstacle course with only the aid of the leader’s vocal instructions within a set time frame. The shortest time was for team Dragons who, though it did come down to a tug-of-war tie breaker, also came away with the overall win and an amazing custom flag, authenticated in which they incorporated mud, burn marks and over all castaway look. They ended the event with barbecue and beer while swapping stories and experiences under the early evening sun, thus, ending another successful Canadian Outback Adventures & Events Corporate Castaways.

Iron Chef Challenge Corporate Team Building Activity in Alberta

This is Kristen with another corporate event update.

Our latest event took our Calgary coordinators down to Drayton Valley, Alberta for an Iron Chef Challenge. This challenge took place at an oilfield service company’s office in their back parking lot. It was a perfect spot for the small group of about 20 people. Even though the group was small, they definitely got into it and loved cooking up a storm. Each group presented some amazing dishes for our judges and we all had a great time. It was great because the company was able to invite back one of their retired employees to be a special guest judge on this challenge. Everyone loved having this participant back in the company office and we all had a great time eating the fruits of their labor.
