Iron Chef Barbeque Challenge - Corporate Team Building Activity in Ottawa

It’s Dolena here with another corporate event update from Canadian Outback Adventures & Events.

Today we are in the nation’s capital – Ottawa, where a national auto shop company is participating in the Iron Chef Barbeque Challenge. This group of 45 was split into seven teams where they have to cook a four-course meal, create a menu, and a beverage, while filling the pressures of beating the clock. The teams delegated roles and heated up the park with their delicious dishes. It was a great opportunity for everyone to contribute to their team with their own unique skills such as time management, creativity, presentation skills, communication, and of course, their talents with the grill. We had some teams make their very own homemade candy which was delicious, and sauces, and some teams made their dishes look beautiful – totally restaurant quality. With everyone being from all over Canada in this group, it was a great way for colleagues to take a break from their meetings and get to know each other in a fun and unique environment.

Iron Chef Challenge - Corporate Team Building Activity in Toronto

This is Marie, your event coordinator from Outback, back with another corporate event update.

We just held a scrumptious Iron Chef Barbecue challenge, where 7 teams went head to head in our kitchen academy to see who’s kitchen cuisine reign’s supreme. Our very sophisticated and competitive group of lawyers worked together as a team to skilfully create delectable dishes with limited resources available, using the mystery ingredient – Pineapple. Each of the beverage, appetizer, entrée and dessert dishes had to include this item and be presented to the esteemed judges for their deliberation. It was a tough ruling, but at the end of the challenge, only one team won the Iron Chef Barbecue Challenge winner.

Iron Chef Challenge Corporate Team Building Activity in Alberta

This is Kristen with another corporate event update.

Our latest event took our Calgary coordinators down to Drayton Valley, Alberta for an Iron Chef Challenge. This challenge took place at an oilfield service company’s office in their back parking lot. It was a perfect spot for the small group of about 20 people. Even though the group was small, they definitely got into it and loved cooking up a storm. Each group presented some amazing dishes for our judges and we all had a great time. It was great because the company was able to invite back one of their retired employees to be a special guest judge on this challenge. Everyone loved having this participant back in the company office and we all had a great time eating the fruits of their labor.

Outdoor Barbecue Team Building Event in New Jersey

Hello! Miguel here with another American Outback Adventures corporate event update.

The grills were nice and hot, and the teams ready to start cooking in this outdoor barbecue challenge event where a group of IT professionals were presented with a pineapple to be used as their secret ingredient. All of the dishes presented were amazing but there can only be one winning team – their dessert is what pushed them ahead of the competition, earning them the extra points needed for victory.

Best Tasting Award Winning Cooking Team Building in New Jersey

Hello! Miguel here with another American Outback event update.

During this Iron Chef activity, teams were asked to come up with the dessert with the ingredients provided. One team took it to the next level by creating a sherbet from pineapple juice. This thing took a lot of ice and a lot of salt, poured it into a bowl and mixed the juice in a small container sitting in the ice. Mix it for about 30 minutes and the results were just amazing – homemade pineapple sherbet. This thing took the first place for creativity and originality and they were the winning team.
