Play It Forward - Corporate Team Building Activity in Halifax

Hello again, this is Jason Reichert with another corporate event update from Canadian Outback Adventures & Events, coming to you from Halifax, Nova Scotia.

Today we hosted a Play It Forward event for a communications company that was looking to engage and excite their employees. The activity was a part of their national conference, which allowed employees that normally didn’t interact with each other, a chance to get to know each other a little bit better, and have some fun doing it. Not only did they interact with each other, but with the public as well, as teams completed various random acts of kindness challenges all across the city. There were smiles all around as balloons, flowers and hugs were given out to unsuspecting locals of Halifax. An individual who was given a lottery ticket actually even ended up winning some money in the process. All in all, it was a fantastic event with the tremendous feel good factor for everyone involved.

Play It Forward - Corporate Team Building Activity in Toronto

Hi everyone, this is Nick again with Canadian Outback Adventures & Events, bringing you the latest news about our exciting and dynamic corporate team building experiences.

Today we are in the sunny streets of Toronto, in the heart of downtown at Maple Leaf Square. The city was buzzing with Raptors fans and Beyonce concert goers who were the happy, unsuspecting recipients of spontaneous good deeds. Our group of finance professionals from a national telecommunications company were Playing It Forward this afternoon, meaning, they were bonding together to spread joy and happiness in the form of simple good deeds. They kept police officers hydrated, distributed balloons to happy children, gave treats to dogs, appreciation of service staff, lottery tickets at random, and the best part was, everyone had a really fun time doing it. The energy became contagious and we really felt the sense of community starting within our group and then spreading outwards.

Play It Forward - Corporate Team Building Activity in Calgary

This is Jordan with another corporate event update from Canadian Outback Adventures & Events.

Our latest event was a Play It Forward, planned for a team from the local Calgary school district. Downtown Calgary is an absolutely stunning venue on this late August afternoon. Play It Forward is a philanthropic team building activity that gets teams working together for the benefit of others in the local community. The concept is simple: complete as many random acts of kindness as possible within the set time frame. Unlike many team building activities, Play It Forward has that feel good factor, which comes from taking time out to do things for others. Selfless good deeds often result in a positive chain reaction during and after the event. It acts as a great reminder that the little things in life often make a big difference to others.

Team Pursuit / Random Acts Of Kindness - Corporate Team Building Activity in Toronto

It’s Dolena from Canadian Outback Adventures & Events with another corporate event update.

Today we are in downtown Toronto with a national consulting company. This group of 100 split up into teams and played a joint game of TeamPursuit and Random Acts Of Kindness. Everyone enjoyed putting smiles on the faces of Torontonians and the community. Some of our teams ate lunch with strangers, opened doors for people, and left inspirational notes in public places. It definitely made everyone feel good about their accomplished challenges. They also used their thinking caps in completing cerebral and physical challenges. One of the more challenging physical tasks was performing the crow yoga pose - It was pretty impressive. By participating in this activity, the group had the chance to mix up departments and allow people to get to know each other in an outside the office type environment. There were lots of laughs and smiles to go around.

Play It Forward - Corporate Team Building Activity in Toronto

It’s Dolena here with another corporate event update.

Today we’re in downtown Toronto where we are giving back to the community while participating in the Play It Forward event with a local communications company. We had about 65 store managers from all over Ontario complete challenges that helps people in the downtown community on our Canadian Outback app. Some of the group’s favourite challenges were paying for someone’s coffee, helping grocery store staff stock shelves, and telling someone how much they appreciate them. Everyone was sending off positive vibes throughout the whole day. This 3 hour event also allowed the teams to get to know about each other better since they all work in different areas. Everyone was extremely motivated to help the community and were inspired to keep doing so in their own personal lives.
