Urban Fear Factor Corporate Team Building Activity in Toronto

Miguel here with another Canadian Outback Adventures & Events corporate update.

The day started with the briefing to the group in the client’s office located in downtown Toronto. Once the briefing ended, a thin package with instructions on how to download the app, find the Urban FearFactor game and sign in to it was given to each team. Once all of the team got signed in to the game, off they went all over to the downtown core to try to complete as many missions as possible within the 3 hours allotted for the game. One of the missions was for teams to find specific names of Canadian stars in the walk of fame. One of the teams actually met the bobsled Olympian and had a picture taken with her. What a great way to earn extra bonus points.

If you want your team to be exposed to some opportunities like this during their team building activity, please get in contact with us and find us and visit us at www.canadianoutback.com. Thank you!

Urban Fear Factor - Latest High Technology Corporate Team Building Activity in Quebec City

Hi, this is Alexis from Canadian Outback Adventures and Events with another corporate event update.

This week we were at the incredible UNESCO world heritage site of old town Quebec City for an Urban Fear Factor event.  This exciting app based event engage participants in a series of entertaining team challenges throughout the historic streets of the beautiful old town. The participants were a group of lawyers from a prominent Montreal firm who wanted to bond and have fun outside of their typically high stress work environment. They had a fantastic time strategizing, collaborating and thinking outside of the box, while they completed as many Fear Factor challenges as possible. Some of their favourite challenges involved dressing up in dainty costumes, interacting with locals to find clues to solve puzzles and ice skating in a chorus line with a group of tourists.

Adding technology to your programs and events.

According to meetings and technology expert Corbin Ball, technology continues to move forward at a fast pace, and it’s changing the channels of communication. In the past we've all attended meetings and been asked to turn off our phones. Today, attendees are encouraged to tweet during conferences and share their experience and inspire conversation. Virtual meetings quickly connect people from all over the world.

See the world with a Smartphone Scavenger Hunt
Gone are the days of pens and note pads. Instead, attendees expect wireless everything. People are plugged into their Smartphones and iPads, streaming content and collaborating in the cloud. Convention facilities are noticing these new trends and responding by adding convenient charging stations.

Smartphone scavenger hunts and apps spark engagement between attendees and can allow teams to explore the destination city. These popular conference enhancements are easy to set up, scalable for large groups and can be played anywhere.
