The Crime Investigators of Priddis, Alberta - Corporate Team Building Event Mysteries

Hi this is Jill with another corporate event update.

We are out here in Priddis, Alberta, and we have just completed a Crime Investigators for a local company that’s come out to the Azuridge estates to do a team building event as well as some meetings, and the Crime Investigators event was really a great event for both the space and the client as they were a bit more of a technical thinkers group and wanted something where they could really mentally and physically engage in the activity. So the Crime Investigators fit very well for what they are looking for and the property that we are working on was such a fantastic, diverse location that we were able to throw in some really fun and different crime scenes for these guys and walking around, seeing the teams interact with all of our crime units out on course was just really fun. They got really into it and had such a blast, being able to get into their crime scene mode and the major crime scene, because it was snowing, we had the first time we’ve ever encountered frozen blood before, which seems, that was really funny. They really enjoyed collecting those blood samples while we were at the crime scene. At the finish, where my favourite moments was having the teams do their media briefings and these guys were just so on point and creative and entertaining with their media briefings. They had the room howling, each team did something different and unique but was still funny and engaging, and it was really great to see the diversity in the group as they came up to do their final report. So really great to see, the client was incredibly happy with the event and we are already looking forward to doing some more events with them in the upcoming year, so, such a great success for all of us and our team had such a blast with these guys.

Mistery in Downtown Calgary

Marybeth here from Canadian Outback Adventures & Events with another corporate event update.

A crime was committed in downtown Calgary and we had the best repeat client to help us solve the mystery. This oil company gathered at Salt Lake for lunch, task assignment and crime briefing. Participants were placed into 4 teams and had to assign each team member a specialized CSI role to help in their investigation. Teams successfully made their way to the crime scenes, collecting the evidence and document the scene. Luckily this team was extremely safety conscious and wore their latex gloves when handling the evidence, such as blood, hair and brain matter. Teams had to secretly meet with an informant and pay her a substantial amount to obtain valuable information. Collectively, the group was able to put together pieces and thanks to their due diligence, the crime was solved.

Double Team Building Event - Double the Fun! - Crime Investigators in Philadelphia

Hi there, Shannon here with another event update from American Outback Adventures & Events.

Today, we had a double header. Our client had 20 managers from different countries flying in for a 4 day training conference. These people had never met before and this was the kick start of 4 different conferences they’ll be having together over the next year. As a way to really launch getting to know one another, they brought us in for an entire day of team building and fun in Philadelphia. I’m gonna tell you a bit about the first half of the day, the Crime Investigators event. Our client wanted to stretch out our typically 3 hour event to try and touch 4 hours, so we added a crime scene and some extra mileage between the scenes. It was truly fascinating to see so many different personalities and cultures unify as teams to solve the crime. Once all the teams returned to headquarters to hand in their evidence for lab results, we had one team using the floor to organize all their evidence and connect the dots like you would see in a whiteboard of a typical cop show and one team just dumped everything in a pile on their table and were picking through to create the story. Every team had their own unique way of organizing and categorizing data. The media briefing of this event were colourfully creative and very entertaining to say the least. Everyone may not have solved the crime perfectly but it was a guaranteed way to break the ice and a wonderful way to start this relationship between these managers.

Crime Investigators Team Building Event in New York

Marybeth here again from American Outback Adventures and Events with another corporate event update.

We ran our Crime Investigators event in Tarry Town, New York, this week for a software solutions company. This company had a 170 participants coming together from across North America for their leadership meetings. The event was a break between their meetings and a great way to kick off their conference. The participants were put in to 30 specialized crime investigators team to help solve the crime that had been committed at Tarrytown House Estates. In order to solve the crime, teams visited the 5 crime scenes, collecting evidence and documenting the scene. There was also an informant on the estate grounds where team had to approach this informant, give them a special phrase, and pay them some money to obtain the information. Participants had a great time playing the role, being creative, having a change of scene from indoor meetings and getting acquainted with some of their co-workers they hadn’t had the chance to get to know. Tarrytown House Estate and conference center is just 25 miles from Manhattan and has the perfect grounds and setting for our CI event. The afternoon was filled with team work, laughter and serious things like solving crime.
