Play It Forward - Corporate Team Building Activity in Calgary

This is Jordan with another corporate event update from Canadian Outback Adventures & Events.

Our latest event was a Play It Forward, planned for a team from the local Calgary school district. Downtown Calgary is an absolutely stunning venue on this late August afternoon. Play It Forward is a philanthropic team building activity that gets teams working together for the benefit of others in the local community. The concept is simple: complete as many random acts of kindness as possible within the set time frame. Unlike many team building activities, Play It Forward has that feel good factor, which comes from taking time out to do things for others. Selfless good deeds often result in a positive chain reaction during and after the event. It acts as a great reminder that the little things in life often make a big difference to others.

MInute To Win It - Corporate Team Building Activity in Calgary

This is Jordan with another corporate event update from Canadian Outback Adventures & Events.

Our latest event was a Minute To Win It, planned for a first nation’s group from the Calgary area. Normally, they work with kids. Today they had the opportunity to be the kids. Canadian Outback’s Minute To Win It had teams competing head to head in a series of seemingly simple challenges lasting, yes you guess right, only minutes. Some challenges required one team member, others required multiple team members, and then there were the all win challenges where the entire group competed head to head with the rest of the teams. There’s no shortage of laughter as this group brought their A-game and had an amazing time.

Amazing Chase - Corporate Team Building Activity in Toronto

Hi everyone, this is Nick again, reporting on another great afternoon of corporate team building.

Toronto is one of the most multi-cultural cities in the world, and the perfect playground to run the Amazing Chase. Today’s group of software developers made stops in Mexico, New Zealand, Ireland and Brazil, without ever packing a bag or boarding a plane. The Canadian Outback mobile app was the only passport necessary as it has the power to unlock the globe and guide users on their afternoon adventure. Participants had to face a variety of roadblocks and detours along the way, and these challenged them in new ways and encouraged them to collaborate, communicate and step up to the plate. Everyone’s competitive nature grew as the day went on, and they really got to show that with their intimidating Haka war cries. Watching teams perform let the rest of us know who meant business, and who was hungriest for victory.

Wild Goose Chase - Corporate Team Building Activity in Montreal

It’s Dolena from Canadian Outback Adventures & Events here with another corporate event update.

We are in beautiful Old Montreal today and the sun is shining and this national technology company had a blast participating in their very own Wild Goose Chase. This group of 50 made their way around the area, completing photo challenges through our Canadian Outback app. This group had ten custom challenges created that have the participants find specific buildings or monuments in Old Montreal. This was a great way to show those who aren’t from the area what this great city has to offer. Some of the other challenges included the teams having to find a couple who’s been married for 40 plus years and take a photo of them kissing, and taking photos of team members standing under a light bulb as they came up with great ideas. Everyone had a blast and was pretty competitive. They all had a chance to meet some of their colleagues that they don’t normally work with and it was also a great topper to a day that was filled with meetings.

Team Pursuit / Random Acts Of Kindness - Corporate Team Building Activity in Toronto

It’s Dolena from Canadian Outback Adventures & Events with another corporate event update.

Today we are in downtown Toronto with a national consulting company. This group of 100 split up into teams and played a joint game of TeamPursuit and Random Acts Of Kindness. Everyone enjoyed putting smiles on the faces of Torontonians and the community. Some of our teams ate lunch with strangers, opened doors for people, and left inspirational notes in public places. It definitely made everyone feel good about their accomplished challenges. They also used their thinking caps in completing cerebral and physical challenges. One of the more challenging physical tasks was performing the crow yoga pose - It was pretty impressive. By participating in this activity, the group had the chance to mix up departments and allow people to get to know each other in an outside the office type environment. There were lots of laughs and smiles to go around.
